Incident at 6233 Westheimer
April 30, 2006 -- Houston police
are investigating the death of a man found at 6233 Westheimer
about 12:50 p.m. on Saturday (Apr. 29).
The victim is identified as Todd Christopher
Smith, 42, of 2757 Briar Grove #409. The cause of death is pending
an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.W. Belk and
Officer M.J. Miller reported:
Smith's body was found lying face down in an
alleyway with a ligature in the form of an air compressor belt
around his neck. A 2x4 was used to tighten the belt in place.
His injuries may have been self-inflicted.
