Incident at 8600 Village of Fondren Drive
April 25, 2006 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8600 Village
of Fondren Drive about 10:30 p.m. on Monday (Apr. 24).
The victim is identified as Ebere Thomas Lazarus,
23, of 2302 Buttonhill in Missouri City. He suffered multiple
gunshot wounds to the face, torso and buttocks and was pronounced
dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant L.A. Flores and
Officers T.R. Cunningham and T. Andrade reported:
Mr. Lazarus' body was found lying on the parking
lot entrance to a condominium complex. Investigators have determined
he was shot during a robbery. Lazarus' vehicle was stolen during
the incident. It is a 1999 white Chevrolet van with Texas license
plates D25SKC. Witnesses said a black male fled in the van at
a high rate of speed and drove south on South Gessner.
