Incident at 8701 Gustine Lane

April 24, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8701 Gustine Lane about 1:30 a.m. today (April 24).

The victim has been identified as Willie Banks, 23, of 8701 Gustine Lane #6610. He suffered multiple gunshot and shotgun wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officers P. T. Yochum, T. A. Andrade and E. R. Carstens reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call where they found Mr. Banks dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Banks and a friend were in the parking lot when they were approached by two suspects, described only as black males wearing black clothing, who began shooting at him when he fled.
