Composite Sketch of Suspect in Incident at 10761
Gulf Freeway
April 14, 2006 -- Houston police
robbery investigators have released a composite sketch of a suspect
wanted in the robbery and shooting of a woman at 10761 Gulf Freeway
about 6:45 p.m. on February 18.
The suspect
is described as a black male, 22 to 30 years old, about 5 feet
8 inches tall, with a thin build. He is clean-shaven and has straight
front teeth. The suspect was wearing a black windbreaker or athletic
jacket with a hood. The jacket possibly had an orange or yellow
stripe on it. Investigators believe the suspect might live in
the area where the shooting occurred. The composite sketch of
the suspect is attached to this news release.
The victim, Nicole Davis, 28, was shot twice
in her lower back and is still recovering from her injuries.

reported:
The victim was leaving a car stereo business
in a strip shopping center at 10761 Gulf Freeway when she was
approached by the suspect, who tried to take her purse. When the
victim resisted, the suspect shot her one time. At that time,
the suspect pulled the woman to the ground and shot her a second
time. The suspect then took the victim*s purse and casually walked
south on the Gulf Freeway service road.
