Traffic Incident at 8400 Bauman

April 2, 2006 --Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 8400 Bauman (southbound) on April 1, 2006 about 2:50 p.m.

The victim was identified as Heleno Silva, 36.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant R. A. Gonzales and Officers D. Ertons and Y. Bashir reported:

According to the witnesses, Mr. Silva was traveling southbound on Bauman at a normal rate of speed when he went over the inside curb of the roadway. As Mr. Silva attempted to bring the vehicle back onto the street, it rolled over onto the driver's side and began skidding down the road. During the incident Mr. Silva, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was partially ejected through the rear passenger's side window. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
