Incident at 5501 Perkins
October 18, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the shooting of a man at 5501 Perkins
about 1 a.m. today (Oct. 18).
The wounded victim is identified as Raymond Charles
Mays, 31, of 4411 New Orleans #207. He suffered a gunshot wound
to the head.
H.P.D. Homicide Division Officers I.F. Flores
and T.R. Cunningham reported:
Witnesses saw Raymond Mays being confronted by
an unknown suspect in the parking lot of a local food market.
The suspect produced a handgun and shot Mr. Mays once in the head.
HFD paramedics responded to the scene and transported Mays to
Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
