Incident at 9950 Club Creek #117
October 16, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 9950 Club
Creek #117 today (October 16), about 12:25 a.m.
The victim has been identified as Eddie Lee Bryant,
51, of 9950 Club Creek #117. He suffered a single stab wound to
the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect, Debra Denise Joseph (b/f DOB: 01/15/57),
is arrested and has been charged with murder in the 338th State
District Court.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Hernandez and
Officer X. Avila reported:
Bryant and Joseph lived together. Witnesses said
that Bryant and Joseph had been arguing all day long and Joseph
was intoxicated. Bryant allegedly choked Joseph while in the bedroom.
Bryant went to the bathroom and Joseph followed him. Once inside
the bathroom, Joseph stabbed Bryant one time in the chest. Bryant
walked out of the bathroom, went into the living room and collapsed
by the front door. Bryant was transported by ambulance to Southwest
Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Joseph intially
told police that when she came home she found Bryant already stabbed.
Evidence inside the apartment indicated that the stabbing occurred
at the location. Joseph later confessed to stabbing Bryant.
