Traffic Incident at 3600 Westpark

October 14, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident at 3600 Westpark about 2:30 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 13).

The victim, Samuel Robles, 42, was pronounced dead upon arrival at Ben Taub General Hospital.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant H.M. Garcia and Officer T.A. Nguyen reported:

Samuel Robles was attempting to turn eastbound onto Westpark from Edloe when he struck a curb and slid out of control. Robles became airborne and suffered severe head trauma as he landed on the roadway. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. No other vehicles were involved.

The investigation is continuing.
