Incident at 185 Goodson

October 3, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another at 185 Goodson Street about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 1).

The names on the deceased and wounded victims have not been determined at this time.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Torres and Officer S. Straughter reported:

The two male victims were in the front seat of a Dodge Dynasty that arrived at an apartment complex at 185 Goodson. In the backseat of that vehicle were two unknown black male suspects. After arriving in the parking lot, witnesses reported hearing several gunshots. The witness then saw the two black male suspects flee on foot.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
