Traffic Incident at 4800 Almeda Genoa

November 20, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 4800 Almeda Genoa about 11:45 a.m. today (Nov.20).

The identity of the deceased victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D.S. Runyan and Officer L.D. Ferguson reported:

The victim was struck by a pickup truck while crossing the street at 4800 Almeda Genoa. Witnesses report that the pedestrian appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the accident. No charges were filed against the driver of the vehicle.

The investigation is continuing.
