Incident at 16302 Edgemont
November 16, 2005 -- A murder
charge has been filed against a suspect arrested in the apparent
strangulation of a woman at 16302 Edgemont about 8 a.m. on Tuesday
(Nov. 15).
The suspect, identified as Ricardo C. Isaac (b/m,
DOB 7-30-67), was taken to the Fort Bend County Jail. Following
questioning, the Fort Bend County District Attorney's office filed
a murder charge against him. Isaac is accused in the death of
his wife, Verdlyn Della Isaac, 29.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Gonzalez and
Officer D. Robertson reported:
The suspect and victim have two children who
were at school at the time of the incident. The suspect confronted
his wife regarding her relationship with another male. It is believed
the couple got into a physical confrontation when the suspect
said he strangled his wife. The suspect remained at the scene
until police arrived.
Investigators are awaiting autopsy results from
the Galveston County Medical Examiner's office for an official
cause of death on Ms. Isaac.
