Incident at 4300 Kelley
November 6, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4300 Kelley
on November 5, 2005 about 8:55 p.m.
The victim's identity is being withheld pending
notification of next of kin.
The suspect is described as a b/m in his late
20's early 30's. He is approximately 5'08" to 5'09",
140 to 150 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black shirt with
black jeans and had medium length black hair. He was armed with
a .45 caliber handgun and was seen fleeing on foot.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.D. Newcomb and
Officer T. Huynh reported:
The victim and his friend were walking eastbound
in the 4300 block of Kelley. The suspect was walking behind them
and suddenly grabbed the victim in a "bear hug" from
behind. The suspect produced a weapon and shot the victim. The
victim ran away and eventually collapsed in the 5800 block of
Wayne Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
