Incident at 5709 Liberty Road
November 4, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of two suspects who
fired shots at agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation
at 5709 Liberty Road about 11:30 p.m. on Thursday (Nov. 4).
The two deceased suspects' identities are pending
autopsies by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

and Officers R. Chappell and I. F. Flores reported:
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and
its SWAT team conducted a narcotics operation with assistance
from Houston Police Narcotics Division officers. Investigators
have been able to determine that several Hispanic males armed
with weapons broke into a residence at 5709 Liberty Road. Agents
ordered the suspects to drop their weapons. The suspects refused
and began firing upon the agents. The agents returned fire, killing
two of the males and wounding two others. No one else was injured
in this incident.
This investigation is ongoing and will be handled
by the FBI and the HPD Homicide Division since the shooting occurred
in the city limits of Houston.
