Incident at 4313 Harrisburg

May 29, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the injury of another at 4313 Harrisburg about 2:15 a.m. today (May 29).

The deceased victim is identified as Jorge Alberto Jolvera, 17, of 4320 Crites #2. He suffered a gunshot wound to the face and shoulder and was pronounced dead at the scene. The injured male victim received a gunshot wound to the right arm and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick and Officer I.F. Flores reported:

It was determined that an altercation took place at the intersection of Texas and Delmar. The driver of a white pickup with a black strip got out of his vehicle and shot into Jolvera's vehicle. The suspect drove off and Jolvera drove into the apartment complex located at 4313 Harrisburg where he was pronounced dead.
