Incident at 2000 La Branch

May 28, 2005 -- Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal stabbing of a man at 2000 La Branch about 5:25 a.m. on Friday (May 27).

The suspect, Dereskey Lashawn Hayden (b/f, DOB 11-17-76), has been charged with murder in the 232nd State District Court. She is not in custody.

The unidentified male victim suffered multiple stab wounds. His identification is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Officers R.P. Martinez and T.J. McCorvey reported:

Witnesses saw Hayden argue with and then stab the victim several times. While the victim was on the ground, Hayden searched through his pants' pockets. She took the victim's black gym bag and walked away.
