Incident at 301 West Little York

May 25, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 301 West Little York about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday (May 24).

The victim, Rudolf Bernard Dorsey, 53, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants S.H. Kennedy and L. Flores reported:

The victim was a uniformed, armed security guard who worked at the apartment complex at 301 West Little York. It is believed the guard was responding to a discharging firearms complaint when he approached the suspect. The suspect shot the guard several times and then ran.

A possible suspect was later taken into custody at a separate apartment complex and is being questioned by homicide investigators at this time.
