Serial Robbers Arrested

May 5, 2005 -- Charges have been filed against two suspects in a robbery at 2100 Arabelle on Monday, May 2, 2005.

The suspects, Roberto Rodriguez (H/m DOB: 12-29-76) and Francisco Martinez (H/m DOB: 5-3-65), have been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 180th State District Court.

HPD Robbery Division Officer F. Hernandez reported:

Rodriguez and Martinez were arrested on Tuesday, May 3, 2005, after a Houston police officer observed a vehicle at North Main and I-45 that matched the description of a vehicle used in several robberies in the area. After confirming the vehicle was stolen, a chase ensued and ended with both Rodriguez and Martinez taken into custody without incident. Rodriguez and Martinez have been linked to at least five related incidents and might be involved in others.
