Update on Incident at 1620 Enclave Parkway

June 25, 2005 -- Charges have been filed against two suspects wanted in the fatal stabbing of a man at 1620 Enclave Parkway about 2:20 am on Friday, June 24, 2005.

One suspect, Justin Andrew Gray (b/m, DOB: 3-1-85), has been charged with murder in the 232nd State District Court. A second suspect, David Newman (w/m, DOB: 9-5-82), has been charged with Burglary with intent to commit aggravated kidnaping in the 351st State District Court relating to this case.

According to Houston Police Department Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick, Officers B. Evans and I.F. Flores Jr.:

Patrol officers were dispatched to a shooting and stabbing call at 1620 Enclave. The victim, Johnathon Craig Chenevert, 22, of apt #2716 was stabbed after an argument over a cell phone. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.
