Incident at 8600 Irvington
July 16, 2005 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8600 Irvington
about 6 a.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2005.
The deceased victim is identified as Fernando
Ramirez. He suffered two gunshot wounds to the chest and was pronounced
dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sgt. P. Motard and C. Abbondandolo
reported:
Ramirez was working as an uniformed security
guard at a nightclub when he was asked to escort two unruly men
outside. Shortly after escorting these men out, a witness heard
several gunshots in the parking lot. Ramirez did not return to
the club and was found by a club patron laying on the ground in
the parking lot. A group of individuals from the nightclub tried
to aid Ramirez by giving him CPR but he was unresponsive.
