Incident at 4121 North Freeway

July 3, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 4121 North Freeway about 10: 20 p. m. on Saturday (July 2).

The identity of the male victim, 48, is pending notification to the next of kin. He suffered apparent gunshot wounds to his chest and arm.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. T. Wyers and Officer T. Tyler reported:

Houston police officers responded to a call regarding a man down inside of a vehicle at a video store and discovered the victim slumped over and unresponsive in the driver's seat. HFD paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
