Incident at 16803 City View Place #86

July 1, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the death of an infant at 16803 City View Place #86 about 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2005.

The infant, Amir Henry, 7 months old, of 16803 City View Place #86, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. K. Peters and Officer A. J. Palos reported:

The mother and infant took a nap on the mother's bed. When the mother awoke, she found the infant had fallen between the mattress and wrought iron footing at the base of the bed. The mother initiated CPR and called an ambulance. The cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office. Harris County Children's Protective Services will also conduct an investigation into the death of the infant.
