Incident at 5410 Chimney Rock
January 30, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5410 Chimney
Rock about 2:30 a.m. today (Jan. 30).
The unidentified victim, described only as a
Hispanic male, suffered a gunshot
wound to the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant D. A. Ferguson
and Officer R. A. Moreno
reported:
The victim and a friend were standing in the
parking lot at 5410 Chimney Rock.
A white Ford Crown Victoria drove up beside them and a male, described
only
as Hispanic, exited the rear passenger side of the vehicle with
a gun. The
driver and front passenger, also described as Hispanic males,
remained in the
vehicle. The male approached the victim and friend and demanded
their money.
When the friend stated they did not have any money, the suspect
shot at them
striking the victim in the neck. The suspects fled in the white
vehicle.
