Incident at 9200 Town Park

January 27, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a boy at 9200 Town Park on Wednesday, January 26, 2005, about 7:15 p.m.

The victim has been identified as Johnathan Lozano, 15, of 8721 Town Park #1191. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. B. Douglas and Officer D. R. Shorten reported:

Lozano was sitting with four friends in the 9200 block of Town Park. A vehicle drove past Lozano and friends and a passenger in the vehicle yelled out an obscenity to them. A few minutes later, the same vehicle returned and the front passenger shot several times, striking Johnathan. His friends carried him a short distance and then laid him down in the parking lot at 5909 Ranchester. HFD responded and pronounced Johnathan dead at the scene.

The vehicle is described as a 1990-1994 white Oldsmobile Delta 88 or 98 with dark tinted windows and in very good condition.
