Incident at 11000 Segrest
February 25, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in the 11000
block of Segrest about 2:50 a.m. today (Feb. 25).
The name of the 21-year-old victim has not been
released pending notification of family members. He suffered gunshot
wounds to the chest and leg and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T.C. Bloyd and
Officer C.L. Scales reported:
Two unknown black male suspects attempted to
steal the victim's vehicle. When the victim did not readily give
up the vehicle, one of the suspects fired several shots through
the driver side window. The victim was struck twice, but managed
to drive his vehicle down the street and onto a grassy area where
the vehicle got stuck in the wet ground. The victim was found
dead in his vehicle.
The two suspects fled in a white Ford Expedition.
