Incident at 8209 Fulton

February 21, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting at 8209 Fulton on Sunday, February 20, 2005, about 4:30 a.m.

The male victim's identity is pending notification to next of kin by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Mosqueda and Officer L. Benavidez reported:

Several witnesses heard gunshots coming from an open courtyard near an apartment complex. Shortly thereafter, the victim was found by the witnesses lying face down with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest.
