Traffic Incident at 2300 Holmes Road

February 1, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 2300 Holmes Road on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, about 2:10 p.m.

The victim has been identified as James Ervin Coffman, 56, of 5027 Court Road.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Traffic Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and Officer D. Ertons reported:

Coffman was driving a 2000 Toyota Tundra eastbound on Holmes Road when he lost
control of his vehicle, striking several objects. There were no known witnesses to this accident.

The investigation is continuing.
