of a man in his apartment at 8501 Broadway about 9:20 a.m. on
January 13.
The suspect, identified as Luis

Ray's friends became concerned when they had
not heard from him for a few
days. After repeated phone calls went unanswered for days, friends
went to
Ray's apartment complex and asked the manager to check on his
welfare. Upon
entering the apartment, they discovered Ray's body on the bedroom
floor with
blunt trauma to the head. Ray's friends last spoke with him on
Sunday,
January 9. He advised them he was getting together with someone
he had met on
an Internet chat room.
The motive in Ray's murder appears to be robbery.
