Update on Incident at 500 West Crosstimbers
December 28, 2005 -- Houston
police homicide investigators have released a composite
sketch of one of two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting
of a man at 500 West Crosstimbers about 8 p.m. on Friday, December
9, 2005.
Suspect #1 is
described as a Hispanic male between 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet
10 inches to 6 feet tall. He has a skinny build, thin mustache
and a goatee. Suspect #2 is a Hispanic male between 20-30 years
old and wearing a hooded sweatshirt. A composite sketch of suspect
#1 is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Patrick Rios, 19,
of 500 West Crosstimbers #22.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.K. Peters and
Officer A.J. Palos reported:
Patrick Rios was in or near his vehicle in the
parking lot of an apartment complex when two unknown Hispanic
male suspects approached him and demanded his car keys and his
jewelry. One suspect produced a handgun and shot Rios. Both suspects
fled the scene on foot. Rios was transported to Ben Taub General
Hospital where he later died.
