Incident at 5135 North Freeway #63

December 27, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5135 North Freeway #63 today (December 27), about 6:50 a.m.

The victim is identified as Joseph Lee Alexander, 22, of 5135 North Freeway #63. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant D.A. Ferguson and Officer B.C. McDaniel reported:

An unknown male knocked on Alexander’s door and asked to buy crack cocaine. The suspect was allowed into the apartment. Once inside the apartment, he demanded money and/or drugs while pointing a gun. The suspect became agitated and eventually shot Alexander. Witnesses inside in the apartment at the time of the shooting fled unharmed. The suspect is described as a twenty-something slender, tall and dark skinned black male.
