Incident at 9305 Rosehaven
December 25, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the aggravated assault of a woman and
two police officers (with a deadly weapon) at 9305 Rosehaven on
December 24, 2005 about 4:30 a.m.
The victim is identified as Pamela Foston, 42,
of the 5300 block of Myrtlewood. She sustained grazing gunshot
wounds to the head and arm. Foston was transported to Ben Taub
General Hospital where she is in stable condition and is expected
to recover from her injuries.
The suspect is identified as Theolonious Paul
Henry (b/m DOB: 3-13-65), of the 5300 block of Myrtlewood. He
sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso. Henry was
transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital and he remains in critical
condition.
The responding officers A. A. Ferrer and R.D.
Gonzales are eight-year veterans assigned to the Southeast Patrol
Division. Neither officer was injured in the incident.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Gonzales and
Officer R.P. Martinez reported:
Foston and Henry were previously dating but recently
they had problems. Foston was staying with an acquaintance at
9305 Rosehaven. Henry arrived there looking for her and began
assaulting her. When the police arrived, they observed Henry striking
Foston and pointing a pistol at her. They saw Henry shoot at her
and then turn around to point his pistol at the officers. Fearing
for their life and that of Ms. Foston the officers shot at Henry.
At this time, no charges have been filed against Henry.
As in all officer-involved shootings, the HPD
Internal Affairs and Homicide Divisions, and the Harris County
District Attorney's office are investigating this incident.
