HPD Releases Composite of Wanted Robbery Suspect
December 5, 2005 -- Houston
police have released a new composite
sketch of a suspect wanted in the aggravated robbery of a
73-year-old woman that occurred at 3510 Ella on January 29, 2005
around 3:40 p.m.
HPD Robbery investigators reported that the victim
was in a local grocery store parking lot located at 3510 Ella
when she was confronted by a suspect who knocked her to the ground
and jerked her purse away from her. The suspect fled on foot around
the side of the store and got into a red Ford Escort driven by
a second suspect. The victim suffered a broken shoulder and facial
injuries.
Later that same evening, that same suspect was
captured on surveillance video
in the company of two woman attempting to use one of the stolen
credit cards at a Sam's Wholesale located at 13400 East Freeway.
The suspect is described as a black male with
a dark complexion, 5'9" to 6' tall between 18 to 20 years
old weighing between 160 to 170 pounds.
