HPD Seeks Public's Help in Identifying Suspect
August 9, 2005 -- Houston police
robbery investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying
a suspect responsible for at least two robberies on the city's
northwest side.
The suspect is described as a white male in his
mid 20s to mid 30s, 5 feet 6 to 6 feet tall and 160 to 180 pounds.

HPD Robbery Division Officer T. R. Veliz reported:
The two robberies occurred at local convenience
stores near Hempstead and the Northwest Freeway in late April
and the beginning of May 2005. In each robbery, the suspect is
wearing a blue hooded sweater and uses a hammer as a weapon. In
one of the robberies, the suspect swings a hammer at the store
clerk grazing the clerk's thumb. The suspect demands money from
the cash register. The suspect was seen getting into an older
brown Buick after one of the robberies.
The suspect is responsible for the following
robberies:
April 30 at about 3:10 p.m. at 11404 Northwest
Freeway
May 1 at about 4:10 p.m. at 14632 Hempstead
