Beacon Bid
The City of Houston has partnered with Beacon and is excited to announce an improved fully automated wed-based electronic bidding system, Beacon Bid.
Suppliers are still required to register through SAP Business Network to transact business with the City of Houston. Supplier information will be loaded to Beacon, and a verification email will be sent to the suppliers' contact emails. To access the new and improved e-bid portal for reviewing and responding to solicitations, suppliers must click the link in the verification email to confirm their registration.
Our new e-bid portal will allow interested suppliers to do the following:
- Login to bid and receive relevant notifications of future opportunities in the e-bid portal by selecting Subscribe.
- Follow updates to any solicitations so interested suppliers receive automatic notifications.
- Submit questions and receive answers for open solicitations.
- Guide suppliers through the process of responding electronically to solicitations to ensure submissions have been completed accurately.
The new e-bid portal went live on February 1st, 2025, and is available by clicking the Beacon Bid Search tile on the BizWithHou page.
